The receptor for advanced glycation end product (RAGE) is a representative influx transporter of APP or amyloid-β (Aβ) protein in cerebral vessels, while low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) and LDL-related protein 1 (LRP1) are efflux transporters. These receptors play roles not only in clearance of Aβ protein but also in control of oxidative stress. In this study, we examined the gene and protein expressions of these receptors, by real-time quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), Western blotting, and immunohistochemical techniques. SAMR1 mice with lower expression of APP were as controls. The gene and protein expressions of RAGE were lower in SAMP8 brains than in SAMR1. Those of LDLR were higher in SAMP8 brains than those of SAMR1. There were no differences in the expressions of LRP1 between SAMP8 and SAMR1. Immunosignals of RAGE and LDLR were seen in the cytoplasm of CD34-positive endothelial cells and also in astrocytes, in both strains of mice. The Abcb1 gene product, P-glycoprotein, is a representative efflux transporter of cerebral vessels. In this study, using brain samples of SAMR1, Abcb1a gene-mutant mice, and of SAMP8 without that mutation, we examined the gene expression of some representative ATP-binding cassettes, such as Abcb1a, Abcb1b, Abcc, and Abcg2, and the protein expression of P-glycoprotein by real-time quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), Western blotting, and immunohistochemical techniques. The gene expression of Abcb1a was decreased in the brain samples of SAMR1 compared with those of SAMP8, while that of Abcb1b was increased in the samples of SAMR1 compared with those of SAMP8. There were no differences in the gene expression of Abcc and Abcg2 between the samples of SAMR1 and SAMP8. The protein expression of P-glycoprotein was decreased in the brain samples of SAMR1 compared with those of SAMP8. Immunosignals of P-glycoprotein were seen in vessels walls, mainly CD34-positive endothelial cells and partially astrocytic cells, in both mice. These findings indicate that SAMR1, Abcb1a-mutant mice, showed decreased expression of Abcb1a gene and P-glycoprotein and increased gene expression of Abcb1b, compared with those of SAMP8 without that mutation, suggesting no clear effect of increased gene expression of Abcb1b on decreased expression of P-glycoprotein. Galerkin's finite element method is used to get discrete basic equations for flows, shape functions adopted are determined on the basis of the utilization efficiency of computer and the boundary conditions, and coefficients of horizontal eddy viscosity are determined as a function of mesh scale on physical bases. When such an element is loaded to a split coaxial balun, radiation from a pair of slots on the balun becomes appreciable. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the frequency characteristics of the radiated power from a split coaxial balun that is fed at an arbitrary point in the slotted section and loaded at the center of the slots with a short dipole antenna varying in length. As the radiation is affected by the diameters of outer conductors and especially by the position of feeding posts, these are treated as parameters. The radiated power from slots is calculated from the far fields obtained by the method of separation of variables. The conduction loss is also taken into account by using a skin depth model on the inside walls of the split section. The circuit theory of BALUN is combined with the field theory to get the frequency characteristics of the input impedance at a reference terminal. The calculated results well agree with the experimental data on 0.03 wave length diameter pipes. Dual class share and pyramiding coexisted in listed companies of China until discriminated share reform was implemented in 2005. This paper presents a model of controller to expropriate behavior as well as empirical tests of expropriation viaparticular accounting items and pyramiding generated expropriation. Results show thatexpropriation is apparent for state controlled listed companies. While reforms have weakened the power to expropriate, separation remains and still generates expropriation. The points are summarized as follows: (1) He thought that auditory sansation had two excellent characters, namely its wide scope (e.g. one can hear even the unseen,) and its intuitive receptivity of the mystical. Therefore he regarded music as "donum divinum et excellentissimum". (2) Instrumental music was left out of his consideration. His consideration was focussed on vocal music (chorus). He thought multiplicity and variety of human voices signified the omnipotence of the Creator. (3) His principle of musical practice (musica practica) was this: as music should serve God by making the text lively, the correlation between tones and Words should be kept in mind, that is, tones should be in accordance with accent and intonation of Words. He realized this principle in "chorale". (4) He asserted that music dispelled Satan, but also warned not to indulge oneself in music and not to fall into Satan's hand. (5) The phrase "domina et gubernatrix affectuum humanorum" came from his thought that music expressed human "affection". The subjects were 160 kindergarten children ranging in age from 4 years and 6 months to 6 years and 5 months. They were first shown drawings of five faces depicting the emotional responses of "happy", "sad", "angry", "prim", and "expressless". Then the children were presented stories in which another youngster might easily be perceived as feeling happy, sad, or angry. Each story was accompanied by three pictures of a child engaged in the described activity. Following the presentation of each story, the examiner asked the Ss to select the face that best indicated how the child felt in the situaion. Analysis and comparison of the data obtained in this study revealed the following findings; (a) Prediction 1 was statistically supported. (b) Prediction 2 was not supported. (3) Prediction 3 was partially supported with the predicted tendency.
